Wedding Party

Megan Jacobs, Bridesmaid

Megan and I go WAY BACK! We met in 6th grade when we both lived overseas in Paris, France, in 6th grade. After 7th grade, I moved to Houston and was devastated that we’d be separated, but we kept in touch literally every single day. She eventually moved to Houston and went to the same high school as me! We graduated together and have been there for each other through so many big moments—college graduation, her wedding, and now she’s about to have a baby boy! I’m so grateful you’ll be by my side as I marry the love of my life. You’re not just my best friend, you’re my sister!

Theresa Lomeli, Bridesmaid

Theresa and I met when I was working my first job as a reporter in Hattiesburg, MS. I joined a running/drinking group that met weekly, and we immediately hit it off. We spent countless hours running 6 - 10 miles in 90-degree heat (we were definitely crazy), belting out karaoke at bars with names like "Shenanigans," and I was even there when she made the first move on her now-husband. Even though I only lived in Hattiesburg for less than a year and moved away, we never lost touch. Theresa has visited me at every place I’ve lived—from Beaumont, Texas, to Memphis, Tennessee, and now Atlanta, Georgia! She’s always made the time, even while raising two adorable little kids. I love you so much!

Monica Keshwara, Bridesmaid

MONII! In the summer of 2020, Monica and I were at this random pool in Memphis, just trying to have some fun during the pandemic. We were with our own groups of friends, but after a while, she came over and said, “Hey, want to hang out?” Thanks to her, we ended up merging our friend groups and had the best time! She came into my life when I was wanting to meet more female friends, and we instantly clicked. We really match each other's energy—whether it’s hiking, hanging by the pool, going to concerts, dancing, or just having fun. She was even there when Kish and I first started dating. Everyone always assumed Kish and I were "just friends," but one day at a volleyball tournament, our mutual friend saw us kissing and passed the news along to Monica. She couldn’t believe it. I’ll never forget the look on her face! She moved to Atlanta in 2023, and I’m so excited for all the new adventures we’ll have together!

Juan Rodriguez, BridesMAN/BRO

I honestly don’t know how I would’ve survived working in Beaumont, Texas without Juanito. Both of us were stressed-out reporters covering Hurricane Harvey, crime, and racing against tight deadlines at the TV station. But seeing Juan's face every day in the newsroom and hanging out after work made me look forward to spending the next two years in that small town. He seriously took me under his wing, inviting me to his family’s amazing parties, dollar Lone Star open mic nights, spontaneous trips to Houston, and a bunch of other unforgettable adventures. When he met Kish, they hit it off instantly, and I love seeing their friendship grow. We’ve basically turned attending Austin City Limits Festival into an annual tradition, and it never lets us down. I’m so grateful to have you by my side on our special day!

Ada Montgomerey, Bridesmaid

Ada was the first friend I made in Atlanta, and I’m so lucky I found you! We actually moved to the city the same weekend but didn’t know each other. By some twist of fate, I posted on a “Former TV” Facebook page asking if anyone had recently moved to Atlanta, and she responded right away. We met for the first time at Lady Bird and then walked along the Beltline (Ada definitely knows how to power walk). We’ve been inseparable ever since. We love hiking, doing improv, yoga, and so many other fun activities together. She also encouraged me to join a volunteer organization called Community Bucket, and we've had so much fun helping those in need and making new friends along the way. I’m so glad we crossed paths! My ATL original sista!

Bhavishya Mittal, Groomsman

Bhavishya and I met on the first day of college in Kanpur, India. I had this habit of playing pranks on him, but for some reason, he still stuck around and wanted to be my friend despite all the hazing! We lived on the same floor in the dorm and ended up forming a tight-knit group of friends who’ve stayed close to this day. After graduation, both of us moved from India to Atlanta to pursue our Master's degrees at Georgia Tech. Having a familiar face from undergrad with me in a completely new country made Atlanta feel like home. We ended up sharing an apartment, and that kicked off some unforgettable adventures—trips to New York, Miami, and even Las Vegas. Though I moved to Memphis and he went to Seattle after graduation, we’ve always kept in touch and made sure to visit each other whenever we can.

Vamshidhar Reddy, Groomsman

I met Vamshi on the first day of undergrad in India, and we instantly clicked. We ended up having a bunch of classes together and became roommates after our first year. We had a blast—studying (well, kind of) and partying (definitely more of that). In fact, I had my first-ever beer with him. After graduation, we both moved to different places, but kept in touch. When his company transferred him to the U.S., I was pumped. We took the opportunity to travel to D.C. together and reconnected after years. It was also amazing to see his hard work pay off when he graduated from Duke. We’ve been through so many phases of life, but it’s incredible to see him now, thriving as a husband and father.

Anish Shivram, Groomsman

Anish was the first friend I made when I moved to Memphis. I had just graduated from Georgia Tech and didn’t know anyone there. We met through a social group and quickly hit it off, bonding over our love of soccer—both playing and watching games. Some of my favorite memories are when we bar hopped on Beale Street, celebrated Holi, and sipped on bourbon while listening to classic rock cover bands. We even watched an exciting European soccer game together in Charlotte. Even after I moved to Atlanta, he made the effort to come visit!

Soham Ray, Groomsman

I met Soham through work in Memphis. We were in the same group meetings every week, but it wasn’t until he reached out to hang out that we really clicked. Our first hangout was at Tin Roof on Beale Street—let’s just say it was an eventful night! Our friendship grew stronger through our shared love of soccer, hiking, and music. He became part of Jacque and my friend group and witnessed our journey from friends to a couple. I was bummed when Soham left Memphis, but we’ve kept in touch and we eventually ended up working for the same company again. He recently got married and started a family with his little girl. I’m looking forward to catching up with him soon!

Brett Sheppard, Groomsman

Kishlay and Brett met at a social networking event shortly after moving to Memphis. Both were new in town and looking to make new friends, and they hit it off right away. They quickly became part of a close-knit friend group that spent their time kayaking, hiking, boating on the lake, hanging out at the pool, and checking out the bars on Beale Street. Even after they moved away from Memphis, they stayed in touch and reunited in Destin over Memorial Day for more fun and good memories.
